Position Available: Volunteer Laboratory Technician

Position Summary
The Laboratory Manager and/or Technician (LM/LT) will co-ordinate the day-to-day operations of the laboratory. This includes, but is not limited to, haematology, biochemistry, and microbiology. The LM/LT will supervise and train a team of Lao laboratory technicians and work closely with clinical staff to provide high-quality, compassionate health care. The position is located in Luang Prabang, a charming town in Northern Laos. We are seeking to fill this position immediately.
Qualifications
- Qualified Laboratory Manager or Technician with up-to-date experience.
- Teaching, administrative and management experience.
- Experience managing a budget.
- Ability to interact with people from various countries and backgrounds with tact, diplomacy and poise.
- Leadership capabilities, strong organizational skills, integrity and a confidence-inspiring attitude.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and nurturing care to patients and families.
Benefits
This is a volunteer position with a preferred 1 month minimum commitment up to 6+months. A small monthly allowance can be provided to help cover some basic costs such as food & housing for commitments of 2+ months.
